The Tu Tika Tour is a deeply personal Māori cultural connection guided by your host, Rangimarie.
This 1.5‑hour experience invites you into the heart of Māori culture through warmth, story, and genuine connection.
From the moment you are welcomed with a hongi, you are embraced not as a visitor, but as whānau. Rangimarie shares the stories that shaped her. Stories of whakapapa, identity, resilience, and the journey back to culture. You’ll see and hear how tangata whenua connect to their mountains, rivers, and ancestral lands through the pepeha, gaining a deeper understanding of how identity is woven into place.
Hands-on moments bring the experience to life as you learn the tikanga of kōrari and weave with your own hands. The journey continues at Otuihau Whangārei Falls, a site of natural beauty and cultural significance.
