The Tu Tika Tour
An intimate Māori cultural experience in Whangārei — weaving, waiata, storytelling and connection.
This 1.5‑hour experience invites you into the heart of Māori culture through warmth, story, and genuine connection.
The Tu Tika Tour is a warm, hands‑on cultural experience hosted by me, Rangimarie. Together we weave, sing, share kōrero, and visit our beautiful culturally significant sight of Ōtuihau Whangārei Falls, where you will learn our cultural and spiritual connection to this area.
This is a small‑group, woman‑led Māori experience created to bring people closer to te ao Māori in an authentic, relaxed and personal way.
What to Expect
During this experience you will learn the basics of kōrari weaving, enjoy waiata, hear stories of our whenua and whakapapa, and journey with me to Ōtuihau Whangārei Falls — a place of deep significance to our people. You’ll leave with new skills, new understanding, and a genuine connection to Māori culture.
